Fluorination and fluoroalkylation reagents can introduce fluorine atoms or fluorine-containing substituents into organic molecules, so they are widely used in the synthesis of fluorine-containing compounds. Classification

According to the introduced fluorine-containing groups, fluorination and fluoroalkylation reagents can be mainly divided into fluorinating agents, difluoromethylating agents, trifluoromethylating agents, trifluoromethylthiolating agents and perfluoroalkylating agents.

  • Fluorinating agents. Fluorinating agents can introduce fluorine atoms into the molecules. They mainly include HF, KF, NaF, CsF, FCIO3, CsF, XeF2, N-fluoropyridinium salts, N-F triethylamine, N-fluorobisbenzenesulfonimide, etc.
  • Difluoromethylating agents. Difluoromethylating agents can directly introduce difluoromethyl into the molecules. They mainly include tetramethylsilane (TMS), PhXCF2H, BrCF2PO(OEt)2, difluoromethanesulfonyl chloride, difluoromethyl benzothiazole alum, sodium difluoromethanesulfonyl, brominated difluoromethyl triphenylphosphine, etc.
  • Trifluoromethylating agents. Trifluoromethylating agents can directly introduce trifluoromethyl into the molecules. They mainly include CuCF3, Me3SiCF3, CF3I, CF3SO2Na, etc.
  • Trifluoromethylthiolating agents. Trifluoromethylthiolating agents can directly introduce trifluoromethylthio into the molecules. They mainly include AgSCF3, CuSCF3, trifluoromethylthio tetraalkylammonium (NR4)SCF3, N-trifluoromethylthiodiimide reagent, N-trifluoromethylthiobisbenzenesulfonimide reagent, etc.
  • Perfluoroalkylating agents. Perfluoroalkylating agents can directly introduce perfluoroalkyl into organic molecules. They mainly include Ruppert-Prakash agents, perfluoroalkyl organometallic agents, perfluoroalkylphenyl iodotrifluoromethanesulfonates (FITS agents), etc.
