Description

Collagen Type IV / COL4 is the main collagen component of the basement membrane. It is both the most important structural collagen of the basement membrane, and it entails key signaling potential, which is important for various physiological and pathological functions. Recombinant human collagen type IV is produced by transient expression in non-transgenic plants. It is purified by sequential chromatography methods (FPLC).

Our recombinant human collagen type IV is a 11.37 kDa protein containing 116 amino acid residues fused to a 6His tag N-terminal. r-Human Collagen IV migrate as 11-13 KDa band under reducing conditions. And it contains no animal–derived components or impurities.

Reconstitution	Always centrifuge the vial before opening. Lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water following instructions of batch Quality Control Sheet. At higher concentrations solubility may be reduced and, due to the protein nature, dimmers and multimers generated.
Storage	It is stable at 2-8ºC for short term. For longer storage it should be kept at -20ºC. Reconstituted protein should be stored in working aliquots at –20°C. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended.
