High-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry is a common detection method for disperse yellow 49.

Ultra-high performance supercritical fluid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPSFC-MS/MS) systems are an alternative method for rapid analysis of multiple dyes.
