Background
Currently organophosphorus compounds are extensively employed both in natural and organic synthesis because they are easy to combine with organic groups. Also they are widely used in many important industries as flotation agents, plasticizers, and gasoline additives, especially in pest control as highly effective insecticides. As we all know, glyphosate herbicide as an important herbicides became the world’s largest sales of herbicide varieties in 2002 with annual sales of 4.7 billion us dollars. In the same time, organophosphoruses also play vital roles in biological, such as metabolism of both animals and plants. Organophosphine are one of the most important classes of organophosphorus compound and are widely used in many areas.

Organophosphines
Phosphine, PH3, is an important base compound in organic chemistry with high toxicity, garliclike order, strong nucleophilicity and reducing character. A group of organophosphorus compounds which are analogous to amines are called phosphines. In many reactions they show excellent properties, for serving as precursors to phosphonium ylides in Witting reaction, or as nucleophilic triggers in the Mitsunobu and Staudinger reactions. In addition, phosphines can mediate the conjugate addition of nucleophiles such as alcohols, oximes, and carbon acids to activated alkenes, which are very effective catalysts for the addition of nucleophiles to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds. Especially, phosphines can modulate reactivity and stereocontrol as ligands by stabilizing and activating the metal catalysts to construct C-O, C-C and C-N bonds in the transition metal-catalyzed reactions. For example, classical cross-couplings such as Heck, Negishi, Sonogashira, Buchwald and Suzuki reactions always used the phosphine ligands.
