Specification
Description
Fmoc-NH-PEG10-CH2CH2COOH is a derivative of polyethylene glycol (PEG) that has been modified with a terminal carboxylic acid group and a base-labile 9-Fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (Fmoc) protecting group. PEG is a biocompatible and highly hydrophilic polymer that is widely used in various biomedical applications due to its excellent solubility, low toxicity, and resistance to protein binding. The addition of a carboxylic acid group to PEG improves its water solubility and allows for conjugation to amino-containing molecules, such as peptides or proteins. The Fmoc protecting group is widely used in solid-phase peptide synthesis to protect the N-terminal amine group of amino acids from undesired side reactions during chain assembly.
