Protecting Nucleosides with Diisopropyldichlorosilane in Science Research
As a researcher in nucleoside protection, I recently used Diisopropyldichlorosilane from Alfa Chemistry in my studies. The bifunctional protecting group was easy to apply to protect the 3' and 5' hydroxy groups of nucleosides, providing effective protection for further reactions. By reacting the nucleoside with dichlorodiisopropylsilane and imidazole in DMF, I successfully obtained the protected nucleoside. Although this method may not be as common as using a tetraisopropyldisiloxy group, I found it to be reliable and efficient in my research. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and performance of Diisopropyldichlorosilane for my scientific studies.
