Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) has been studied for a variety of biological functions and health effects, such as reducing carcinogenesis, inflammation, obesity, diabetes, as well as growth-promoting and bone-stimulating properties.
· The impact of CLA on cancer includes its ability to effectively inhibit all stages of carcinogenesis, including initiation, promotion, metastasis, neovascularization, and angiogenesis. Various studies, conducted both in vitro and in vivo, have highlighted the anticancer properties of CLA.
· Regarding the effects of CLA on obesity, supplementation with T10,c12-CLA has been linked to a reduction in body fat in various animal models such as mice, rats, hamsters, pigs, and even in humans. Conversely, c9,t11-CLA has not shown any positive impact on lean body mass.
· In terms of inflammation, CLA has been found to possess anti-inflammatory characteristics in both in vivo studies and cell cultures by inhibiting COX2, which consequently leads to a decrease in the release of PGE2 and downstream pro-inflammatory cytokines.
· Furthermore, CLA has been reported to have positive effects on diabetes by restoring insulin sensitivity, reducing serum glucose and insulin levels in diabetic fatty fa/fa rats, normalizing glucose tolerance, increasing plasma adiponectin levels in Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats, and enhancing insulin sensitivity in young sedentary humans.
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) consists mainly of two isomers, cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12. CLA, which is a mixture of about 60-90% cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12 isomers in a ratio of about 50:50, has been approved as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS).
Beneficial Effects of CLA
· Anti-obesity Effects of CLA: Many clinical trials have reported a positive correlation between CLA supplementation and improvements in body mass index (BMI), body weight, body fat mass (BFM), abdominal fat, and lean body mass (LBM). Numerous studies have shown that the anti-obesity effects of CLA are exerted by reducing energy intake, increasing energy expenditure, regulating lipid/adipocyte metabolism, and/or altering skeletal muscle metabolism.
· Effects of CLA on Muscle Metabolism: CLA supplementation may exert CLA effects specifically on skeletal muscle, including increases in lean body mass (a proxy for skeletal muscle mass), energy expenditure, locomotor activity, endurance, fatty acid β-oxidation, and mitochondrial biogenesis (compared to control animals).
· In addition, CLA may be used to prevent age-related health problems such as cardiovascular disease, menopause, and cancer.
Good stability
Every time I buy conjugated linoleic acid, the quality is very good and the quality is guaranteed..
The chemical structure of conjugated linoleic acid is an 18-carbon unsaturated fatty acid with two conjugated double bonds, and it has 28 possible isomers.
Conjugated linoleic acid usually appears in the form of oil or capsule, and its color is light yellow or colorless.
The purity and content of conjugated linoleic acid depend on its source and processing method.
The melting point and boiling point of conjugated linoleic acid are related to the type and proportion of its isomers. Generally speaking, the melting point of c9,t11-CLA is about 44℃, and the boiling point is about 232℃. T10,c12-CLA have a melting point of about 48℃ and a boiling point of about 238℃.
Conjugated linoleic acid is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, chloroform and benzene.
Conjugated linoleic acid participates in the decomposition and metabolism of fat in the body, which may have certain effects on weight loss, muscle gain, cholesterol reduction, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation and anti-cancer.
The advantage of conjugated linoleic acid is that it has a variety of physiological functions, which can improve the health of human body and the production performance of animals. It also has good safety and tolerance, and is not easy to produce side effects or toxicity.
Conjugated linoleic acid is mainly used as a health food or nutritional supplement, which is considered to have many health benefits, such as reducing body fat, increasing muscle, improving immunity, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer.
Conjugated linoleic acid can be synthesized by chemical or biological methods, such as hydrogenated linoleic acid, oxidized linoleic acid and isomerized linoleic acid.
Conjugated linoleic acid can generally regulate a variety of physiological processes of human or animals by influencing fat metabolism, inflammatory reaction, cell proliferation, apoptosis and signal transduction.
