Calcium cyclamate has sweet taste, can be used as a sweetener to increase the flavor of food.
Calcium cyclamat is stable to heat, light and air.
Add 1 ml of hydrochloric acid to 10 ml of 1% sample solution, mix, and add 1 ml of barium chloride test solution (TS-37) The resulting solution should still be clear, and if 1 ml of sodium nitrite test solution (TS-226) is added, the formation of a white precipitate indicates that the calcium cyclamate.
Thermal decomposition of calcium cyclamate combustion emits toxic sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxide fumes.
