Photocatalytic decolorization of acid black 2 can be achieved using ZnO nanoparticle suspension as a photocatalyst under 250 watts of UV-A illumination. At 25 minutes and 288.15K, the optimal removal efficiency (99.014%) of acid black 2 dye can be achieved under ZnO catalysis.
