Amino alcohols are organic compounds containing both amine (-NH2, -NHR and -NR) and alcohol functional groups. In recent years, amino alcohols have been involved in coordination compounds with first transition metals such as Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+, and due to their good The anticancer activity and low toxicity have been studied. In addition, aminoalcohol complexes can also play a key role in catalysis.
In this work, a series of novel complexes of Zn(II), Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) containing chiral aminoalcohols were synthesized via a one-pot method, and their anticancer activities were explored . The crystal structures of complex crystals (I)–(VII) based on chiral amino alcohols are shown in the figure.
General procedure for the synthesis of complexes (I)–(VII)
The ligand and metal salts (molar ratio of 3 : 1) were heated and refluxed for 48 h, filtration was conducted immediately after the reaction, and the filtration was kept for slow volatility. The copper-, cobalt-, nickel- and zinc- containing complexes were successfully synthesized by reacting (R)-2-amino-3-methyl butane-1-ol, D-phenyl glycenol and D-leucinol as ligands with Cu(OAc)2·H2O, Co(OAc)2·4H2O , Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, CoCl2·6H2O and ZnCl2, respectively.
