Specification
In the absence of any ligands and precious transition metals, samarium (Sm) powder can effectively catalyze the cyanation reaction of aryl halides with electron-withdrawing and electron-releasing substituents in the presence of NaCN, and obtain benzonitriles in high yields. For example, coupling in DMSO provided the corresponding coupling products in good yields.
Characteristics of Sm catalytic system
· Conducting the cyanation reaction without using any ligands and co-catalysts.
· Having simple procedure in the absence of any additives.
· Providing corresponding coupling products in good yields.
· Being practicable for aryl iodides, bromides and also less reactive aryl chlorides.
Good in improvement of anatase electronic properties
The doping of Sm improves the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells very well
