Chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) interacts with acid blue 119 in a buffer solution to form a COS-acid blue 119 ion-associated complex. This complex increases the resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) intensity at 349 nm. The further introduction of TX114 can continue to enhance the RRS strength of the system. This enhanced RRS system can be used for the determination of COS in health care products.

· Stock solution of 400.00 µg/mL COS was prepared and the working solution of 10.00 µg/mL COS was prepared by being diluted with water.
· The working solutions of 1.0 × 10-4 mol/L acid blue 119 and 2.09 × 10-3 mol/L TX114 were prepared and kept at room temperature.
· The citric acid-Na2HPO4 buffer solution with different pH values were prepared by mixing different amounts of citric acid and dibasic sodium phosphate.
Supposed principles
· Acid blue 119 and COS were mainly combined by electrostatic attraction, and TX114 was closely combined with them by hydrophobic forces, and the three substances were further linked together by intermolecular hydrogen bond.
