Organic-inorganic perovskite compounds containing chlorophenethylamine (nCl-C6H4C2H4NH3Br, n = 2, 3, 4) can be prepared by a temperature gradient method. Studies have shown that sharp and broad emission peaks were detected for (2Cl-C6H4C2H4NH3)2PbBr4 and (3Cl-C6H4C2H4NH3)2PbBr4 in PL and scintillation. In addition, the perovskite compounds containing chlorophenethylamine showed a low afterglow level (2-9 ppm).
Preparation procedure of nCl-C6H4C2H4NH3Br
· 2-chlorophenethylamine, 3-chlorophenethylamine, and 4-chlorophenethylamine were utilized as organic amines. An equimolar mixture of the organic amine and bromine acid was stirred in water for one hour, leading to the formation of polycrystalline powders of nCl-C6H4C2H4NH3Br through water evaporation.
· Following this, the nCl-C6H4C2H4NH3Br polycrystalline powders were mixed with PbBr2 in a 2:1 molar ratio and stirred at room temperature in dimethylformamide (DMF) for three hours. The resulting compounds, (2Cl-C6H4C2H4NH3)2PbBr4 (2Cl-Phe), (3Cl-C6H4C2H4NH3)2PbBr4 (3Cl-Phe), and (4Cl-C6H4C2H4NH3)2PbBr4 (4Cl-Phe), were obtained by evaporating the DMF at 100 °C.
· Furthermore, crystals of 2Cl-Phe, 3Cl-Phe, and 4Cl-Phe were produced using the temperature gradient method. Each perovskite-type compound was dissolved in a mixed solvent of DMF and nitromethane at 90 °C; the solution was then gradually cooled from 90 to 20 °C at a rate of 3.5 °C/s using a synthesizer to yield the crystals.
